One Monday night, so the story goes, a young gentleman drove from London to the Traveller’s to enjoy a succulent lamb shank. He was back in Chelsea by midnight, had sold his flat by Tuesday lunchtime and moved to Talybont the following week, so intoxicated was he by the quality of the food he had tasted!!!

Whether he moved solely for the food is open to speculation, but the Traveller’s rest has acquired a reputation for titillating the most discerning palates with a blend of cosmopolitan cuisine and freshly prepared high quality traditional dishes and bar meals. Our eclectic wine list has something for all tastes and budgets, and the bar is well stocked with a range of traditional ales, lagers and spirits.
