The Travellers  has acquired a reputation for titillating the most discerning palates with a blend of cosmopolitan cuisine and freshly prepared high quality traditional dishes. Our eclectic wine list has something for all tastes and budgets, and our restaurant  is well stocked with a range of spirits, traditional bottled ales, ciders & lagers.

All our dishes include a variety of freshly cooked vegetables and a selection of potatoes

To start

Toasted Feta served on dressed olive salad

Lightly smoked Trout fillet served warm with citrus butter

Lambs Kidney and black pudding sauteed in caramelised onion jus and sherry

To follow

Guinea Fowl supreme sauteed in cider with honey and shallots, finished with creme fraiche and coriander

Fillet of prime Welsh Beef, to taste with cracked peppercorn and Port cream

Rack of Welsh lamb roasted pink, served with leek puree, red wine and rowanberry reduction

Local Venison striploin medalions, cooked rare served with wholegrain mustard, honey and white wine sauce with a hint of juniper

Fillet of Sea Bream on wilted spinach with citrus butter and lilliput capers

Leek and Brocolli Bake with grilled potato and cheese topping

To finish

Desserts made in our kitchen include

Fresh lime Cheesecake and fruit in ginger syrup

Rum and Banana sticky toffee cake, salted caramel ice cream

Pavlova, fresh berries and raspberry coulis

Sunday Lunches served from 12.30pm include

Roasts of Welsh Rib Eye beef, Loin of Pork, free range Chicken and Welsh Leg of Lamb, Fish and Vegetarian dishes
